Vegas Here we come.
Five grown kids, three son in laws, and 7 grandchildren all living further than 2 hours away makes for a headache trying to get everyone together for birthdays. This year we have decided to pay for the son in laws birthday presents by giving them one night stay at a hotel during the middle of the week in Vegas. The girls are getting 2 nights stay and a show ticket. We are planning on going to the Beatles Love by Cirque de Solei. Hopefully this will go off without a hitch, everyone will get along and will be good. More traveling pictures to come. All of this will take place in July of 2013. Can't wait to get hotel booked and plans confirmed with our literary.

So we spent the night at a Days Inn in Glendale, it wasn't the worst but for sure wasn't the best. Not in a slum area, but not in a great area. In the middle of the night I woke up to screaming a guy was yelling and screaming and throwing things at his wife. I got so scared that I woke Courtney up and told her to lay on the floor, kind of got scared that he was going to shoot her. I didn't want to get shot by flying bullet, about an hour later I woke up to a car alarm going off, right next to my car. I called front desk and asked them to check it out. The guy thought I was crazy. But I needed my car to go home in. One of the problems, with the place is - it says it is not associated with the extended stays but they were all together so I don't know how you couldn't be. It was scary. We woke up the next morning and got out of there as fast as we could. We drove to Vegas. Whatever it was (We'll find out Monday) on my arm I got so sick in Vegas that 110* weather and I was literally freezing. I pulled the down comforter on me, and all the blankets and still had the chills, so I turned the heater on full blast. I still couldn't get warm so we went down and laid out at the pool. The heat was so stifling that I almost couldn't breath but I was still freezing. Later in the night we went to the Treasure Island show. I hated it. Grossest thing I've ever experienced. Needless to say we left early. I don't get how they say that this is family oriented.
Courtney thinks she's funny sticking her head in a sharks mouth didn't she learn anything with the bird.
While we were in San Diego this wasn't far from the truth sharks sighted on both coasts east and west.
They are transforming the back of a house into a front of a house for a new tv show 1313 Mocking Bird lane, due out this fall ( I think on Fox) It will be a remake of the Munsters
The green screen in the back ground is so they can film then computer generate a background in later
Lucille Ball, I don't think the younger kids even know who she is. But I use one of her tv shows for a class teaching about the 50s. She had so many firsts. Like they couldn't say pregnant, she called it the P word, or anything like it, and they slept in separate beds. Don't want to exploit sex. The older I get the more I agree with the old days.
Optimus Prime, Courtney rode on the new transformer ride, said it was awesome, This day was hard for me. I was starting to get sick
